Created to Worship

Rom.2:15-16
"God's law is not something alien imposed on us from without, but woven into the very fabric of our creation. There is something deep with [people] that echoes God's yes and no, right and wrong. Their response to God's yes and no will become public knowldege on the day God makes His final decision about every man and woman."

Life can become so painful
so heavy at times
the earth sighs
groans
under the weight of evil
it was never intended to shoulder
a shroud it was
not created to wear

evil that seethes and writhes
snaking inwardly
to the very marrow of the bones of the earth

and the earth moans
with ragged breath
aches
for the sound of the trumpet
when it too shall be made new

now, it resists the pulling and tearing
of darkness
now, ever shining somewhere with light from within
or light from without
starbeam, moonshine,
sunset, dawn,
firefly, deepwater glowing fish
but shining, shining, as lightyears of praise
due it's Maker

and boldly pronounces to east and west
without end
that it is always morning
somewhere
and always brilliant
in light
and birth and freshness

echoing Heaven's glory
somewhere
and everywhere
so
that man and beast and rock and water
are not without the knowledge of God
bursting out
uncontainable
undeniable
unfathomable
unending

created to worship
created to worship
and heaven and earth
will pass away
but not the Word
He is Eternal

and we shall behold Him
and be made like Him
and fall down
and worship Him
as created
and then
we shall be whole.
